Hudson & Rex

Hey my lovely Chameleons. Yesterday, on June 20th Writers From The Block was on again at the B-Side Lounge. You might be wondering why you are seeing a blog about Hudson & Rex instead of Writers From The Block, and that is cause due to me being in BC I am not able to go to Writer's From The Block 6. I wanted to do a blog on Hudson & Rex for a while now and what better than doing it as my replacement blog. 

On March 25, 2019 we got a new Canadian Drama series filmed in PEI on TV, called, Hudson & Rex. What Hudson & Rex is about, is Detective Charlie Hudson is apart of the Major Crimes detective for the St. John's Police Department, teams up with an unusual partner - a former K9 German Shepard, name, Rex. Rex's heightened senses keeps Hudson hot on the trail of his suspects. Even with the help from Supt. Joe Donovan, Sarah Truong, & Jesse Mills, at the St. John's Police Department. Hudson likes to partnered with Rex, cause Rex does not talk Hudson's ears off.

How I heard about is this show is from Justin Kelly (Jesse Mills) on his Instagram. He posted a picture of him as Jesse Mills on March 21st with the caption "Tech Analyst Jesse Mills, catching baddies on CCTV cam at a time.". Continues with "Hudson & Rex premiere this Monday March 25th @ 8pm on City TV". Even though Justin posted the photo up of him as Jesse and caption it saying "...Jesse Mills..." I thought he was Hudson, and I was excited to watch this show. Mind you I was just excited that I can see Justin Kelly back on my TV. Since Justin played Noah Jackson on Family Channel's show The Latest Buzz from 2007 till 2010, witch I loved and he was my favourite one on the show. You might even remember him on Open Heart as Wes. Or for any of you Degrassi fans reading this he was even on Degrassi as Jake. He was even on the show, Between staring alongside Jennette McCurdy as Chuck. Enough about Justin Kelly, but yeah.

Me and my stupid brain. I see a picture of Justin Kelly as Jesse and read the caption and I think he is Hudson. Ether way. Hudson & Rex is one of my favourite shows on TV. It's funny, I don't ever watch crime, detective shows, but I love this one so much. It must be the dog lol. Not that you care, but little did I know, John Reardon, who plays Charlie Hudson also plays in A Christmas Secret alongside Bethany Joy Lenz.

The show was on every Monday at 8pm on City TV, but moved to Thursday at 8pm on City TV.

Writer's From The Block 5

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to tell you about Writer's From The Block last night. Well I knew about the DJ cause Noa told us on May 16. On Sunday Mat 19 I asked Writer's From The Block Insta page if you didn't want to see the DJ do I still have to pay $20. I didn't.  On May 22nd I saw the Writer's From The Block InstaStory. I was excited to see Trevor Larose & Michelle Treacy. Regardless I would still go to hear new music and support up and coming singers.

Waiting for June 6 was killing me. I love going to Writer's From The Block. On June 6 I went down to Tim Horton's near my Go Bus stop and I got an ice cap (I didn't want to be knocked out on my way to Toronto with the Vanilla Creamy Chill and yawn every 2 scones in Toronto). I get to Toronto and Squid picks me up and go back to his place to eat before we go. Ink didn't want to go so Squid came with me instead of going out to dinner

We get to the B Side Lounge and pay $10 each. They had a DJ at 11:30, but I didn't really want to stay for the DJ. We get our 'X' on our hand to show we paid and sat at the bar. I went to see if I can grab a seat up close. To make this shorter I tried 3 times to get closer and I asked Michelle's Treacy's mother if the seat beside her is taken. It was. I went back to Squid. He looks at me and says "That's taken too?". After I pulled a chair up beside Squid I see Michelle. I smiled and waved. She saw me, came to me, and hugged me and said "Nice to meet you, you're so far away." (from the stage). I say "Nice to meet you too, and I know. I couldn't find a seat up close.". After she left to sit with her mom and her friend Lucas I got my cold pop (I did not have a Caesar before I left this time. I was just thirsty for something cold). While I was ordering the bartender (The one who performed last time) remembered me and we were talking a bit. After I got my pop Squid saw these 2 chairs closer to the stage and we took them. Trevor and Michelle sat there earlier when we got there. That didn't really matter. We sat there. Trevor played first, then Marina Lin, Nate, Michelle, & then Julia. When Marina came on that is were I got my vodka and coke. Out of all the 5 performers, Marina was the only one that was not on The Launch. I am sorry Nate, I did not cry. I mean I loved your songs and performance, but I didn't cry lol. After Nate performed I got up out of my seat and met Trevor. We had a conversation and got a picture. When Michelle was about to come back on I sat back in my seat. Before she sang her song Ashes To Ashes she asked if anyone of us have an ex that we don't want anything to do with. Of course I put up a hand. I looked at Squid and say "I have only one". She even sang her song from The Launch, Emotional. After the group picture I went up and after I took a picture too I wanted off to the side and Michelle asked if we should take a picture. She took me she knows me from online and some of my videos. Her mom took a picture of us with my phone and then she asked if we can take one with her phone. I said yes. When we were done I went up to Noa and asked if we can have a picture. Cause I see her every other week and we never got a picture together lol. After we took the picture I told her that I will not be coming June 20, cause I am out in BC on June 13-26. See you on July 4.

We go back to Squid's house. That was another wonderful time at Writer's From The Block. Since I will not be coming on June 20 I will have a replace blog about Hudson & Rex coming out that weekend.

We fixed having no picture together lol Yes, she was also on The Launch too. Season 2, episode 1. Plus when I write "Noa" on iTunes it shows me results for "Noah Cyrus" lol.

See you on July 4 for new up and coming artists around the GTA. I will make sure to watch on my phone on June 20th. And I had no phone scare this time. I never put my phone done on the bar or anywhere. It was ether on my lap or hand.
