Folklore - Taylor Swift Music Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons, in today's blog I am going to be doing a Music Review that I was not planning on doing. The reason for that is cause on July 23, 2020 Taylor Swift decided to drop a major surprise on us.

On July 24, 2020 Taylor Swift came out with her eighth studio album. Just hours away she decides to tell us the a series of pictures. That's not all, she even dropped her first single, Cardigan along with the news about the CD news. How was that for everyone's Friday? Here's the track list:

Track List:

1. The 1
2. Cardigan
3. The Last Great American Dynasty
4. Exile (Feat. Bon Iver)
5. My Tears Ricochet
6. Mirrorball
7. Seven
8. August
9. This Is Me Trying
10. Illicit Affairs
11. Invisible String
12. Mad Women
13. Epiphany
14. Betty
15. Peace
16. Hoax
Bonus Track:
17. The Lake

Like I said, this CD was surprise to everyone, and 11 months after her last CD, Lover. To be honest I was a little worried to hear what this CD sounded like after me not liking Lover. I liked some songs off of Lover and I have listened to the CD, but like I told you Chameleons I like her Country better. This morning I went on YouTube and decided to listen to Cardigan and all of her songs off this era. Oh my gosh, I was blown away. This is my favourite era of Taylor Swift. My favourite songs are mostly Cardigan & Hoax.

Cursed TV Show Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to tell you about a new Netflix TV show that just came out over the weekend. This new show, Cursed is based on a book under the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler.

On Friday July 17, 2020 Netflix came out with a new show, called Cursed. What the show is about, for anyone who has not read the book like I did (I have heard it was a book from BookTube) it's about; In a retelling of the Arthurian legend, teenage sorceress Ninue joins forces with a young and charming mercenary named Arthur, on a mission to save her people.

The Cast:

Katherine Langford as Nimue
Devon Terrell as Arthur
Gustaf Skarsgard as Merlin
Daniel Sharman as Weeping Monk Lancelot
Sebastian Armesto as Uther Pendragon
Lily Newmark as Pym

On Sunday July 19, 2020 I was on Instagram and I saw an add for a new movie, A Nice Girl Like You, came out today. I decided I wanted to watch that movie. I searched on Amazon Prime. I found nothing, and then I searched all streaming websites, and nothing. Then I decided to go on Netflix and then I found this show. I saw that it stars Katherine Langford and then I ended up reading the show. It looked good and I checked it out. I wanted to like this show. I am not big on King Arthur or Medieval Times, but it's pretty good. I'm not saying I want to like it, cause Katherine played with Nick Robinson in Love Simon. If that was true I would have said I love Locke & Key cause Connor Jessup played with Nick Robinson in Strange, But True. But that is defiantly not true. I don't say I love a show cause they played in a movie with my faves ever. I am hoping that if I keep watching this show it can turn into one of my favourite Netflix series. You Chameleons know that if I have any favourite Netflix series it comes after Locke & Key.

Alexa & Katie TV Show Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I decided to tell you a Netflix TV Series Review. This one is long over due. Cause this came out in 2018 and I didn't really start watching the show till July 9, 2020. I will explain in my thoughts about the show, part of the blog. Near the end. But over the weekend when I binged the series, I was wondering if I show write a review. I told one of my roommates about the show and when it came out. He thought I should write a review. That is what I am doing.

On March 23, 2018 Netflix got a show called, Alexa & Katie. This show is about; High school is hard for all students, but even more difficult for somebody who is dealing with personal challenges that most teens don't. That is the case for Alexa, who is undergoing cancer treatment while trying to adjust to high school. The maintains her outgoing personality and enthusiasm for life despite her health issues, thanks in part to loyal best friend, Katie, remaining by her side through it all. Whether they're at school, home, or the hospital the girls are always by each other's side through thick and thin. Also part of Alexa's life is her determined and protective mother, Lori.

The Cast:

Paris Berelc as Alexa Mendoza
Isabel May as Katie Cooper
Jolie Jenkins as Jennifer Cooper
Emery Kelly as Lucas Mendoza
Eddie Shin as Dave Mendoza
Finn Carr as Jack Cooper
Tiffani Thiessen as Lori Mendoza
Merit Leighton as Hannah
Iman Benson as Reagan
Kerri Medders as Gwenny
Scott Wordham as Berry
Nathan J Potvin as Ryan
Jack Griffo as Dylan
Gunner Burkhardt as Spencer
Barrett Carnahan as Aiden
Brady Smith as Joe

Whenever I went on Netflix and went on this show the trailer always started. The first line was "Hi, my name is Alexa and I have cancer..." and then I heard a laugh track, that made me not want to check out the show. It's not funny to make a sitcom out of someone who has cancer. That is why I never watched the show. A few years later, in 2020 I was on Instagram last week and saw a video from Paris talking about Alexa & Katie, I figured I should check it out. On July 9, 2020 I turned Alexa & Katie on, and binge watched it all weekend. I loved it. It was funny. I loved that it was funny at the parts it was suppose to be funny at, and they didn't overdue it with the laugh track. My favourite characters are Katie's mom, Jennifer and Katie's little brother, Jack. To me they were the funniest. While I was watching the show I thought Jennifer Cooper was played by Ashley Tisdale. She looks like her. Also Emery Kelly is in the band, Forever In Your Mind. His band was in a few episodes.

Healing Powers Of Dude TV Series Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I decided to do a show review on a show that came out on Netflix in January of this year, cause my book blog is not done.

On January 13, 2020 Netflix got a new show, called, Healing Powers Of Dude. The show is about; When an 11-year-old boy with social anxiety disorder must start middle school, he finds strength in a lovable comfort mutt, named Dude.

The Cast:

Jace Chapman as Noah Ferris
Larisa Oleynik as Karen Ferris
Maurico Lara as Simon
Sophie Kim as Amara
Lauren Emory as Embry Ferris
Steve Zahn as Voice of Dude
Tom Everett Scott as Marvin Ferris

I am kind of late to the party, by a few months. I decided to click on the show cause I thought it was interesting. I like it, but I wouldn't say it's one of my favourites. It's a good show. And the dog is just so cute.

Desperados Movie Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to review another new movie that came out on July 3, 2020 on Netflix called Desperados.

On July 3, 2020 Netflix got a new movie called: Desperados. What this movie is about; A panicked women rushes to Mexico - with her reluctance friends in tow - to try to delete a ranting email she sent to her new boyfriend.

The Cast:

Nasim Pedrad as Wes
Anna Camp as Brook
Lamorne Morris as Sean
Sarah Burns as Kaylie
Robbie Amell as Jared

I read the email a few days ago and it sounded like a comedy, so I wanted to watch this movie. I turned the movie on Saturday night. I went to this movie thinking iy was going to be funny, like The Wrong Missy, but it wasn't. I only laughed 2 to 3 times during the whole thing. My favourite part was the dolphins scene. That part was the funniest for me. Other than that, I didn't really enjoy this movie as I thought I would.

Babysitter's Club TV Show Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog, I am going to review a new Netflix Original show, The Babysitter's Club. the Babysitter's Club was a novel series by Ann M. Martin, and then it was made into a movie in 1995. Now, 25 years later it's a series on Netflix.

On July 3, 2020 Netflix got a new show, called, The Babysitter's Club. For anyone who have not read the books, or watched the 1995 movie The Babysitter's Club is about A group of five girls: Kristy Thomas, Claudia Kishi, Stacy McGill, Mary Anne Spier, & Dawn Schafer (comes in episode 5) ends up starting and running a Babysitting business in Stoneybrook, Connecticut.

The Cast:

Sophie Grace as Kristy Thomas
Momona Tamada as Claudia Kishi
Shay Rudolph as Stacy McGill
Malia Baker as Mary Ann Spier
Xochitl Gomez as Dawn Schafer
Alicia Silverstone as Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer
Mark Feuerstein as Waston Brewer
Marc Evan Jackson as Richard Spier
Benjiman Goas as David Michael Thomas
Dylan Kingwell as Sam Thomas

I went on Netflix today to watch more Life In Pieces and I see Netflix is advertising the show right in front of me. I decided to watch the trailer. I couldn't believe my eyes that this was the TV Show of the 1995 movie, and also based on the books, under the same name. I noticed after hearing that all the names were the same and some of the plot points were still the same. At 4:30 I decided that I wanted to check the show out. I am on episode 6 out of 10. It's not a bad series. I quite enjoy it, to be honest. I do feel like that the series goes more deep into the story and some characters, like Stacy having Type 1 Diabetes. Maybe that's just me, cause I haven't seen the movie for a hot minute. A big difference that I noticed is that in the movie Dawn was the new girl still, but she was there since the beginning of the club and in the series you first see Dawn in episode 5 wehen the club is already made. You Chameleons know how much I hate remakes (Reboots, as in Lizzie McGuire Reboot don't count) but like I said at the start, I really enjoyed this one. It's in my top favourite Netflix shows. Please note that Locke & Key is and always will be my number 1 favourite Netflix show.
