Penguin Bloom Movie Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I will be doing my first Movie Review on a True Story, Penguin Bloom that came out this year. I would say that is was the first True Story I watched this year, but that will be a lie lol, cause my first True Story this year was Clouds.

On January 15, 2021 in New Zealand, and Canada & America on January 27, 2021 Netflix got a new movie, based on a True Story Called, Penguin Bloom. Penguin is a magpie, not an actual penguin. Now, let's move on what the movie is about. A photographer and his family find hope and solace in an injured magpie chick. Penguin Bloom is also a book written by Cameron Bloom and Bradley Trevor Greive.

The Cast:
Naomi Watts as Sam Bloom
Andrew Lincoln as Cameron Bloom
Griffin Murray-Johnston as Noah Bloom
Felix Cameron as Rubben Bloom
Abe Clifford-Barr as Oli Bloom
Jacki Weaver as Sam's mom
Rachel House as Gaye
Leeanna Walsmman as Kylie
Lisa Hensley as Bron

On January 28, 2021 I was on the buzz box and saw this movie in new releases. I decided to check it out. I loved this movie. Penguin might had something to do with me loving this movie. I do not like when animals are named after animals. Example: Magpie bird = Penguin. But it's such a cute bird and I love this movie very much.

Fate: The Winx Saga TV Series Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In my today's blog I am going to be doing my first TV Series Review of 2021. This would of been up sooner, but I wanted get my last blog up first and that took forever to write. Let's get on to what this blog is about.

On January 22, 2021 Netflix got a new show, witch is based on the animation series, Winx Club, from 2004-2019. This show is called Fate: The Winx Saga. If you have seen Winx Club I am still going to say what this show is about. since it's a little different. Fate: The Winx Saga is about; Fairies attend a magical boarding school in the Otherworld, where they must learn to master their magical powers while navigating love, rivalries and the monsters that threaten their very existence.

The Cast:
Abigail Cowen as Bloom
Hannah Van der Westhuysen as Stella
Percious Mustapha as Aisha
Eliot Salt as Terra
Elisha Applebaum as Musa
Danny Griffin as Sky
Sadie Soverall as Beatrix
Freddie Thorp as Rivin
Eva Birthistle as Vanessa
Robert James-Collier as Saul Silva
Eve Best as Farrah Dowling

I first heard about this show in December while I was scrolling on YouTube and I saw a poll saying "What show are you excited to see in 2021?" and I saw it said The Winx Saga. I quickly checked the internet to see if it was based off of The Winx Club.. It was. I screenshoted the screen and texted my childhood friend, Allie. She got me into the Winx Club in 2004. I was excited to watch the show and check it out. After I watched a video on YouTube about comparing Winx Club and The Winx Saga I was nervous that I was not going to like the show. On January 22, 2021 I turned on Netflix and started watching. I loved the show. Mind you, I had the cartoon one playing in my head. Besides that, I really enjoyed this show. Like in the animation, Bloom is still my favourite fairy.

Top 10 Of 2020

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to be doing my Top 10 Of 2020 blog. I got this request from one of my favourite people ever. Shania Fillmore. After Shania requested this idea I quickly opened my notepad on my phone and made a list during the rest of last year, with my favourite shows, movies and my favourite CDs/EPs of 2020.

This will be along blog. The reason why is for the shows and movies, I will explain them. I will not say the cast or how I became a fan. Most of the shows and movies I have not finished cause I am very bad at pausing the show/movie and not coming back to it. Most of these movies are from Netflix, Disney+, Crave, and Amazon Prime due to Covid.

1. TV Shows:

Locke & Key - Before I tell you about this show, I want to say that I was never a big Netflix watcher. I always marked my Netflix emails to "Mark As Read". Last weekend of January I decided to open my 2 Netflix emails and watch the trailers. one was a Netflix Original Movie, Horse Girl, and the other was a Netflix Original show, Locke & Key. I just wanted to say that. Locke & Key is about Following there father's murder, three siblings move into a house with reality-bending keys. This show is based on graphic novels from Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. Locke & Key came on Netflix on February 7, 2020. They are currently filming season 2, and had=s been sign to season 3.

The Babysitter's Club (TV Series) - The Babysitter's Club TV Series is about a group eighth grade girls launch a babysitting business. This show is based on a book by Ann M. Martin, and was a movie in 1995. The weird thing is I don't like remakes, but I love this show. The Babysitter's Club (TV Series) came out on Netflix on July 3, 2020. Season 2 is on the way.

The Haunting Of Bly Manor - The Haunting Of Bly Manor is about A young governess arrives at Bly Manor and begins to see apparition haunting the estate. Haunting Of Bly Manor came on Netflix on October 9, 2020. It is only suppose to be a standalone story as part of a horror anthology series with The Haunting Of Hill House first.

Selena + Chef - Selena + Chef is kinda explanatory, if but you have not see this show, it's about Selena Gomez ends up brushing up on her cooking skills during quarantine with the help from master chefs. Selena + Chef came on HBO Max, but you can also watch it on Crave, came out on August 13, 2020. Season 2 is just around the corner.

A Teacher - A Teacher is about a popular young high school English teacher, who has an affair with a 17-year-old, Eric Walker. A Teacher aired on FX on Hulu on November 9, 2020. Like The Haunting Of Bly Manor, it's was only meant to be a standalone show with only one season. This show ended on December 29, 2020, just before New Year.

The Flight Attendant is based on a book by the same name by Chris Bohjalian.

Tiny Pretty Things - Tiny Pretty Things is about if none of you know about this is; after an attack brings down the star student at a ballet student, her replacement enters a world of lies, betrayal, and cutthroat competition. 2. Movies:

Strange But True -
Ok, so before I go on with this movie I want to say that everything I say on this list came out in 2020, but this movie. Strange But True came out September 6, 2019, but I could not find this movie anywhere. Until January 14, 2020. Strange But True is about Phillip receives a visit from his brother's former girlfriend and old wounds are reopen. Heavily pregnant, Melissa believe that her unborn baby belongs to Phillip's brother, Ronnie, 5 years after his death. This movie is based on a book with the same name by John Searles. Like I said, this movie came out on September 6, 2019, but I finally watched the movie in 2020 after waiting 2 years. I even read the book.

Enola Holmes - I turned this movie on cause I thought it was a series lol. Remember when I said that I am terrible for pausing movies and never going back to them? Yeah, this was one of the movies. But I finally made it to the end.. this year in 2021. Let's go to what the movie is about; while searching for her missing mother, intrepid teen Enola Holmes using her sleuthing skills to outsmart her big brother, Sherlock, and helps a runaway lord. This movie came out September 23, 2020 on Netflix.

The Way Back - Before the world went to shit, this was the last movie that I saw in the movies. This movie is about; Jack Cunningham, former basketball all-star lost family foundation with his struggle with addiction with alcohol and attempt to comeback by becoming the coach of a disparate, ethnically mixed high school basketball team at his alma mater. This movie came out March 6, 2020. A fact of this movie is that Ben
Affleck, who plays Jack came from rehab to play Jack. He had a sober coach on set with him.

The Wrong Missy - Let's just go straight into what this movie is about; Disaster strikes when Tim, invites his dream girl to an island resort. But a previous blind date shows up instead. This movie came out May 13, 2020 on Netflix. Fun fact, after my blog review when up my dad called me a few days later saying thank you for this movie recommendation, and I think Squid did the same thing too. I just wanted to share that.

Just Mercy - I love True Stories and surprisingly this is the first True Story on this list. Like the movie The Way back I went to see this movie in theatres before the world went to shit. Just Mercy is about; World-renowned civil rights defense attorney, Bryan Stevenson works to free wrongly condemned death now prisoner in 1987 one of his first cases was of Walter MacMillan. Who was sentence to die in 1987 for a murder of an 18-year-old girl, despite evidence proving his innocence. In the years that follow, Bryan Stevenson encounters racism and legal political maneuvering as his tirelessly fight for McMillan. This movie is based on a book with the same name by the lawyer, Bryan Stevenson. This movie came out January 10, 2020.

Clouds - Along with Strange But True, I have watched this movie the most than all the movies on this list. Plus this movie was on the top of my radar of movies coming out in 2020, also cause it's a True Story. What Clouds is about; Zach realizes that his cancer spread and he has very little time to live. Being passionate about music he decides to launch an album, unaware it will turn into a visual sensation. . This movie came out on Disney+ on October 16, 2020. This movie is also based on a book called, Fly A Little Higher: How God Answered A Mom's Small pray In A Big Way by Zach's mom, Laura Sobiech.

The Lie - Apparently I am bad at this list, cause this movie came out in 2018, but I first saw this movie in the fall of 2020. Anyway, this movie is about; A father and daughter are on their way to dance camp when they spot the girl's best friend on the side of the road. When they stop to ofter the friend a rid, their good intention soon results in terrible consequences. Like I said, this movie came out in 2018, but I saw it on Amazon Prime for the first time in fall of 2020. This movie is also based on a book called, We Monsters by Marcus Seibert & Sebastian Ko.

Otherhood - Let's pretend I know the rules to this blog, cause all the TV Shows that I listed came out in 2020 and all the CDs/EPs came out in 2020. Here is another movie that came out in not 2020, but I first seen this movie in 2020. This movie is about; Three mothers feeling forgotten on Mother's Day drive to the suburbs to New York City to reconnect with their adult sons. This movie came out July 21, 2019. This movie is based on a book called, Whatever Makes You Happy by William Sutcliffe. Oh, and I am not done this movie yet.

All My Life - Oh My Gosh Chameleons, finally a movie that came out in 2020 lol. And here is a shocker, I did not finish this movie yet. This movie is also based on a True Stories. Let's talk about what the movie is about; Jennifer Carter and Solomon Chau are a sweet, fun-loving, newly engaged couple who are ready to start their lives together. But when Solomon is
diagnosed with a terminal liver cancer, their hopes for a summer wedding becomings impossible. With time running out, their friends and families soon devise an inspirational plan to help Jennifer and Solomon realize their dream wedding. this movie came put December 4, 2020.

Love Guaranteed - Here is another movie that came out in 2020. Here's what this movie is about; After 1,000 first dates on the Love Guaranteed matching website, Nick is still single. So he hires a lawyer to sue the dating app. All evidence points to romance.

Shadow In The Cloud Movie Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. Happy New Year!! In today's blog I am going to be doing my first blog and my first Movie Review of 2021. Before I start, I want to say that in the fall of last year I got a request to do a blog about My Top 10 of 2020 (TV Series, Movies, & CDs/EPs). It is almost ready to go. That is my next blog. Now what this blog is about. I heard last year that their was a movie at TIFF called Shadow In The Cloud staring Cassie Sullivans and Ben Parish... I mean Chloe Grace Moretz and Nick Robinson.

On January 1, 2021 we got a new Chloe Grace Moretz and Nick Robinson movie, called, Shadow In The Cloud. This movie is about; While traveling with a top-secret documents on a B-17 Flying Fortress a female WW 2 pilot encounters an evil presence on board.

The Cast:
Chloe Grace Moretz as Maude Garrett
Nick Robinson as Stu Beckell
Beulah Koale as Anton Williams
Taylor Joh Smith as Walter Quaid
Callan Mulvey as John Reeves
Benedict Wall as Tommy Dorn
Joe Witkowski as Bradley Finch
Byron Coll as Terrence Taggart

During TIFF last year I heard that this movie was at TIFF, I didn't know if I wanted to grab tickets and watch this movie online. Then I was on Instagram and saw that Chloe and Nick both had the movie on their InstaStory. I decided to look on the internet to see when this movie actually comes out. To my excitement I saw that Nick Robinson and Chloe Grace Moretz both play in a new movie together. Me being a fan of both of them (Nick more Shh! lol) I wanted to watch this movie. I saw that it comes out on New Years Day of 2021. What a better way to start off 2021with a new Chloe and Nick movie. On January 2, 2021 I turned on Video On Demond (it was on late on New Year's Day) and watched the movie while having breakfast. I liked the movie, but it was not my favourite. Plus I even got The 5th Wave vibes during some parts. Can't love all of Nick Robinson's (and Chloe Grace Moretz) movies.
