Father Stu Movie Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to do a Movie Review on a new True Story movie called, Father Stu. Father Stu came out on April 13, 2022. Before I get started I want to say that I m going to be better with my blogs, like I have been last year.

On April 13, 2022 the movies came out with a new movie that was based on a True Story, called Father Stu. If you Chameleons don't know what this movie is about, I will tell you. Father Stu is about; When Stu has an injury ends his amateur boxing career, he moves to L.A to find money and fame. While scrapping by as a supermarket clerk, he meets Carmen, a Sunday school teacher who seems immune to his bad-boy charm. Determined to win her over, the longtime agnostic starts going to church to impress her. However a motorcycle accident leaves him wondering if he can use his second chance to help others, leading to the surprising realization that he's meant to be a Catholic priest.

The Cast:
Mark Wahlberg as Stuart "Stu" Long
Jackie Weaver as Kathleen Long
Mel Gibson as Bill Long
Teresa Ruiz as Carmen
Aaron Moten as Ham
Cody Fern as Jacob
Malcolm McDowell as Monsignor
Niko Nicotera as Barfly
Carlos Leal as Father Garcia

On March 1, 2022 I was on YouTube watching Uncharted interview (don't ask) and I picked Mark on Ellen. Mark was also talking about his new movie Father Stu. And you know when somebody says it's based on a True Story I am right at the movies. For a moth I forgot about the movie. On the week of April 22 till April 24 I was at my friend's Natalie's house. On April 23, 2022 we went to see Sonic 2 that is where I saw the movie poster of Father Stu, and that is when I remembered the movie. When I got home on Sunday I looked up the movie to see where it was playing and when. It was only playing at the Hamilton Mountain at 6:55pm or 9:40pm. Not my ideal place or time. The week after I decided to look again to see if the show was playing at an earlier time. I found that it was playing at Hamilton Mountain (At this point I didn't care) at 4:10 on Thursday May 5, 2022. I jumped at the opportunity to go see this movie at the time that I loved. I enjoyed the movie very much. Maybe it's because I love Simon Birch or maybe cause I am Catholic, but I did really enjoy it. Not to mention that I been watching Mark Wahlberg movies recently. I mean the last movie review was Uncharted starting Mark Wahlberg lol. Ok, Nevermind, but it was the last movie I seen by myself in the movies. This movie also teaches you a lesson. If you love someone, you do anything for them.
