Dora & The Lost City of Gold - Movie Review
Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to do doing a Movie Review on Dora & The Lost City of Gold. Yes, this is a late review, but better late than never. This blog review was going to go up on Monday. As you may remember as a kid of a little show on Treehouse, called Dora The Explorer. So of us might of loved the show, hate the the show, or just thought it was annoying. I use to watch the show when I was little and liked it. It was good to learn Spanish and I used that to help me when I went to DR this year in July lol. After a while I started growing not liking the show and mostly watched it for the Spanish. Before I get started on what the movie is about I do want to say that I am not going to Writers From The Block on August 29. I did say in my last blog, witch was Writers From The Block 10 that I didn't know if I was going and I will let you know if I am or not. Will there will be a replacement blog up on Friday or Saturday.
On August 9, 2019, we got a live action Dora the Explorer, called Dora & the Lost City of Gold. I am not shamed that I went to go see the movie. After watching the trailer back at the beginning of 2019 I thought to myself that this "Now this will be a Dora the Explorer I want to see". This movie takes place wen Dora is a teenage in high school, she goes on a field trip with her class to the museum and then her, her cousin Diego, and her 2 friends Randy & Sammy end up in the jungle and on a mission to save Dora's mom & dad. That is all I am going to say about the plot. Boots is an actual monkey and not an animated talking monkey. Plus Swiper is in here too.
The Cast
Isabela Moner as Dora
Eva Longoria as Dora's Mom
Michael Pena as Dora's Dad
Benicio Del Toro as Swiper
Jeff Wahlberg as Diego
Madelyn Miranda as Little Dora
Madeleine Madden as Sammy
Temiera Morrison as Powell
Nicholas Coombs as Randy
When I first went into this movie I was excited. Then when the Dora theme song was on & Little Dora was speaking into the camera to repeat the word back to her I was like"What dod I get myself into?" When Dora got on the plan to Hollywood to be with people her own age I knew that this movie was getting better and what I signed up to see. Lets just say it was cringe till after the high school dance scene and everyone was at the museum. To me, Randy was the best and my favourite & Jeff Wahlberg reminds me of Demetrius Joyette from The Latest Buzz. Anyway, back to what I thought about the movie. After the high school dance scene the movie got better
