Greyson Chance Round 2

Hey my lovely Chameleons. I didn't go to Writers From The Block on November 7th, so this is a replacement blog for Writers From The Block 17. As you Chameleons know, I went to go see Greyson Chance again this year. Here is the story on how I ended going to Greyson Chance, joking about going to Writers From The Block, and renaming this day 'Sacrifice Day".

Back in the start of June I was on Instagram and I saw that Greyson posted a photo announcing his Portraits World Tour, with the dates. Me being me, I wanted to see if he was playing in Toronto again. He was. November 7th. I was joking with myself on what happens if November 7th was the first Thursday of the month, who should I do? Go to Writers From The Block or Greyson Chance? I decided to check on my phone on the calendar to see when November 7th actually was. To my surprise November 7th was the first first Thursday of the month. Since with that news I was deciding what I wanted to do. I asked my friends and they all said Greyson Chance. The funny one is I asked my friend, Allie and she said Greyson Chance. Then I asked her if she wanted to come with me and she replies with "I don't know who that guy is." Ok, so you don't know who this guy is and yet you are saying for me to go see him lol. The other friend, Megan said "Go with Greyson Chance. Or you'll be sad." On June 13th when I was in the airport right before entering the plane to go to B.C I messaged Jackie saying that I was leaning more on going to see Greyson Chance on November 7th at the MOD Club instead of going to Writers From The Block. She messages back saying "I knew you were leaning towards that." It wasn't until July 2nd when I bought my tickets. That is how I renamed the day 'Sacrifice Day' lol. Between July 18-October 17th I decided not to say anything to Writers From The Block. Squid even showed me how close the MOD Club is to The B-side Lounge. A block and a half. On October 17th I was telling Grace Bakker my joke and she loved that and then I told Squid that I made Grace laugh with my joke about sending me back to Greyson if I show up here on November 7th. He was smiling cause I thought it was cause Noa was behind me. On October 27th I was on Instagram and saw that The Chase had a Q & A on there InstaStory and someone asked what there next show. They answered with "November 7th at the B-Side Lounge". I messaged on the InstaStory telling them I am not going and explaining why and I can see if I can run over. They reply saying "Hope to see you there" that is when I decided to put $10 a side.

Now, finally we are on the actual day. I go to my bus stop near my house and realize that I left without my phone charger. While messaging Cindy I told her about my phone charger. She suggested for me to buy one just for Squid & Ink's place. I stopped at the Dollarama and got a phone charger for my phone and then continued on my way to the Go Bus. I get to there place and plugged my phone in. I didn't know that the other end was an USB-C end. I had no way to charge my phone. I just left it off for the night. Without a phone I couldn't go say hi at Writers From The Block. When Squid & I got to the MOD Club we got out of the car and walked to the end of the line at SleepCountry (Next door to the MOD Club). We didn't get in till 8:30. We checked out coats and my bag, get our tickets scanned, and went in. I made my way to the front of the stage & just stayed there. Good thing I did, cause when the show started everybody was everywhere. I couldn't even gp. Good thing I got my same spot after I bought my pop.

I'm sorry to say, but there is not much to tell. The show was as fun as when I went to see him back in March at The Drake's Hotel. He did ask us who was at his show in March. Me and a tone of people put up there hands. There was new people too. In the middle of the show he ended up bringing 2 girls up on stage who went to his Meet & Greet in March and told us the story that they wanted him to draw something. The girls got the drawing tattooed on them. Greyson showed the tattoo to the audience. Then said "No more tattoos" lol. I made my way just an inch closer to the stage. At one point he started to play a bit of Paparazzi from Lady Gaga, that made him famous and appear on the Ellen show for the first time at only 12 years old back in 2011. He played songs from his Portraits CD, Good As Gold, Low, and Back On The Wall. He even played his new song, Boots that came out the next day.

Squid and I came home, my phone was still off. I didn't turn it on till the next day. I brought my iPod to take pictures. Later when we were home I was messaging The Chase & Valerie saying that I had phone issues and that is why I did not come by to say hi.

I am very glad I got to start off my November with one of my all time first singers. It only gets better from here. Next concert is Ezra Jordan with my childhood friend, Allie on November 22nd. Yes, the one who wanted me to go see Greyson Chance, but had no clue who he is lol. Then back to Toronto on November 27th to see Alyssa Reid with Squid. I need to finish my last month of being 26 the best way possible. What is better then going to see your main 3 favourite singers ever. Plus Writers From The Block on November 21st and on your actual birthday, on December 5th.
