Silk Road Movie Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to do my review on Nick Robinson's new movie Silk Road. I was going to do this blog last weekend cause this movie was scheduled to come out on February 19, 2021, but I got this movie on my internet box on February 13. I decided I was going to do this blog last weekend, but I ended up doing the review on the new movie, Flora & Ulysses, which also came out February 19, 2021.

On February 19, 2021 we got a new movie called Silk Road. Anyone who has an internet box got the movie on February 13, 2021. Silk Road is based on a True Story and here is what the movie is about; Young, idealistic and driven to succeed, Ross Ulbricht creates Silk Road, the internet's first unregulated marketplace. When the site becomes a multimillion dollar pipeline for illicit drugs, Ross draws the attention of Rick Bowden, a dangerously unpredictable DEA agent who uses any means necessary to take him down.

The Cast:
Nick Robinson as Ross Ulbricht
Jason Clarke as Rick Bowden
Alexandra Shipp as Julia
Jimmi Simpson as Chris Talbert
Paul Walter  Hauser as Curtis Clark Green
Darrell Britt-Gibson as Reyford
Katie Aselton as Sandy Bowden
Lexi Reba as Edie Bowden
Daniel David Stewart as Max
Will Ropp as Shields

On February 13, 2021 I decided that I wanted to watch a movie and looked on my internet box and saw that it said Silk Road. I took my phone and wanted to check if this was the newest Nick Robinson movie. It was. Plus it also said that the release date was February 19, 2021. I still watched the movie. Since the movie was based on a True Story I wanted to watch it more, and yeah cause Nick Robinson was in this movie. At the start it was good. I was enjoying the movie. Until I saw what the website was for. Yes- I love Nick's movie Being Charlie, but I feel like Silk Road is the next step to Being Charlie. Even though I love Nick Robinson and True Stories I didn't really enjoy this movie like I thought I would.

After I kept seeing the trailer I couldn't wait for this movie. On February 19, 2021 I turned on this movie and started to like this movie and laugh. 15 minutes in I decided that I wanted a bath, and after my bath I read. On February 22, 2021 I decided to turn this movie back on to watch it all the way threw after I watched the trailer on Disney Channel again. I watched the movie from the start. It was cute and funny. Plus I love that squirrel, Ulysses. It even took me a few weeks to learn the squirrel's name. Later on Valentine's Day (Sunday) I ended up watching Hot Ones on YouTube and watched the newest one with Kevin James. When Sean, the host was saying about The Crew I just tried to remember were I heard that title. I was shocked that Kevin was in this show. Monday comes and while I was eating my lunch I decided to turn the show on. I paused the show and surprisingly went back at 7pm lol. If you read my Top 10 Of 2020 you'll see why I said "Surprisingly". By 10pm I was on episode 7 out of 10. I am loving this show. It's nothing that you seen before. I have never seen a show about NASCAR before. Plus I also love to see that David Spade and Adam Sandler are guess staring in this show ether. Adam guess stared in Kevin Can Wait and they both played in I Now Pronounce Chuck & Larry & Hubie Halloween. Plus all 3 of them were in Grown Ups 1 & 2, and all 3 Hotel Transylvania. I'm sorry, I kinda lump all 3 of them together. Anyway, I love this show and I wanted to watch a new sitcom.

On February 1, 2021 I was just on Netflix and I saw the trailer for this movie. A few seconds later while watching the the trailer it said "Base On A True Story" I was like, I'm in. I didn't really like the movie. There wasn't much of a story line developed in this movie. The movie basically starts with Basil sailing to Edith Pretty's house to dig in her yard and no reason why. I decided to give this movie a chance, because my favourite types of movies are True Stories.
