Amanda Ensing vs Sephora

 Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to talk about a YouTuber, Amanda Ensing. She is a Christian Beauty YouTuber who got dropped by Sephora and why. If you have no idea what is going on I will try my best to go threw everything and then my opinion on this whole story. On November 9, 2020 Amanda posted up a video to her YouTube channel, titled, What's Next For America? where she talks about the future of America. The comments are off now, but someone commented "Just say you are a Trump supporter." On December 26, 2020 she posted a photo while wearing a Trump sweater. Amanda also loves and works for Sephora. Now that you got the background of who Amanda is and how this whole thing started here is everything what came next..

In January of this year she made a promoting video for Sephora. Sephora watched the video before Amanda posted it, and Sephora gave her the thumbs up. Well... After posting that video Sephora told her to take it down. Sephora contacted Ensing through a third-party rewardStyle platform and said "recently made aware of concerning behaviour by Ms Ensing on her social platforms." in statement to The Hill. Then Sephora said this about the video and Amanda "Most recently she made light of the violence and tragic loss of life at our Nation's Capitol last month," and then continued with "For this reason, we mad the decision to cease all programming with her indefinitely, including having the video she created through an external vendor, taken down." Amanda, who has videos on makeup and beauty for a decade says that her contract with Sephora was wrongfully terminated over her political beliefs.

On January 30, 2021 she posted up the story of what happened with her Sephora video on her Instagram. Outling her defense, she said she's in contract with her lawyers, as she claims the contract she signed prohibited her from being fired over her political beliefs. Also in the Instagram video Amanda had a screenshot of the contract the company outlined it only voided contracts "In extreme situations such as violence or hate speech." She maintains she participated in nether.

For the whole month of February she has be on the news telling her side and that she wants to make makeup great again with her new brand Make Makeup Great Again. Plus updating us on what's going on with Sephora. 

Now cause of her political beliefs and making light of January 6, she is now depended on Twitter.

I don't wear makeup or shop at Sephora, but that doesn't mean I have opinion on this. I feel like Sephora cut ties with Amanda cause Sephora, themselves don't like Trump. Also, Amanda said that she did not get paid from Sephora. I am happy that she is taking charge, but I also feel like she is being a little bit dramatic by making a company called, Make Makeup Again. For some reason I also feel that this has little bit to do with the money that she did not get. Even though that is how I feel I want to see what happens to Amanda and this situation. I do hope everything also works out too.
