Lizzie McGuire Reboot?

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today''s blog I am going to tell you what is going on with The Lizzie McGuire Reboot. This is my second to last blog of 2020. My last blog will be out on December 21, 2020 and will be the Shawn Mendes Netflix Documentary. Now that we got all that out of the way, let's get back to what this blog is about; Lizzie McGuire Reboot.

I want to apologize how long this blog will be. I am going to go threw everything from what I have heard since the start in August 2019. Plus I have a lot of pictures. I will not be talking about Love Victor and Lizzie McGuire Reboot that much, but I have a picture to add. Let's go..

On August 13, 2019 Hilary Duff ended up going to Disney Expo and said that Lizzie McGuire is going to get a reboot and Hilary will play the iconic Lizzie again. The Reboot was going to be on Disney+ and the original cast was coming back. Well, the mom, dad, Matt, and Gordo were all coming back, along with Hilary Duff and the plot was going to be Lizzie was living in New York, she was 30, with her dream job, no kids, and newly engaged.

On July 30, 2019 before Hilary went to Disney Expo Jake Thomas, Matt McGuire posted these photos to his Instagram.

Then on October 24th and 25th of 2019  Jake was teasing us on Instagram being back as Matt.

In January of 2020 it was announced that the creator of Lizzie McGuire, Terri Minsky, who created Lizzie back in 2001 till 2004 had stepped down. Reson for this is because Terri wanted it to still be Disney friendly 20 years later, but Hilary wanted the reboot to be more honest and authentic to an actual 30 year old. So they din't see eye-to-eye. For that the dhow was on hiatus until they found a new show creator.

I will not be getting way too much into this, cause this makes me mad. Back in April of last year I heard that Love Simon was getting a spin off TV Series. This show was going to be called Love Victor, and it was about Victor's story. The show was also going to be on Disney+. Until I hard that they pulled Love Victor for also not being kid friendly for Disney+ and that is when Hilary posted this picture to her InstaStory.

We haven't heard from the show for a few months and we thought all was good, and they were getting things straitening things out. On December 16, 2020 we got the news form Hilary Duff over Instagram that not Lizzie McGuire fan wants to hear. After filming 2 episodes and looking for a new sow creator, and a new home for The Lizzie McGuire Reboot, with a heavy hearts I am not happy to say that we are not getting the show.
