Dear Evan Hansen Movie Review

Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to tell you about Dear Evan Hansen, movie. The movie came out on September 24, 2021. Dear Evan Hansen was suppose to be on VOD, but never came on. I really wanted to watch this movie, so I took the bus up to the movies on October 7, 2021 for the first time since this pandemic.

On September 24, 2021 we got a new movie, Dear Evan Hansen. If you do not know what this movie or Broadway show is about. I tell you Chameleons about it: It's a film adaptation of the Tony & Grammy Award-winning musical about Evan Hansen, a high school senior with Social Anxiety disorder and his journey of self-discovery and acceptance following the suicide of a fellow classmate.

The Cast:
Ben Platt as Evan Hansen
Amy Adams as Cyntha Murphy
Julianne Moore as Heidi Hansen
Kaitlyn Dever as Zoey Murphy
Amandla Steinberg as Alaha Beck
Nik Dodani as Jared Kalwani
Danny Pino as Larry Mora
Colton Ryan as Connor Murphy

Everyday since September 24, 2021 I was looking on my VOD to see if this movie was on. On October 7, 2021 I got fed up, decided to look one more, and went up to the movies to go watch this movie. Since I heard about this movie I for some reason wanted to watch this movie. After watching Dear Evan Hansen I realized why I wanted to watch this movie so bad. I am against bullying and suicide. After the student in Evan's grade committee suicide the whole school comes together and makes a movement project for the fellow student. That is what made the movie great. Yes, I am not a fan of musicals, but I liked some of the messages in the songs.
