Movies And TV Shows Staring Pigs
Hey my lovely Chameleons. In today's blog I am going to talk about my favourite animal, pigs. More importantly Movies and TV Shows Staring Pigs I thought that human celebrities shouldn't get all the fun to be on my blog and share some blog time for animal celebrities. In this case piggies who star in Movies and TV Shows. A few weeks ago I looked up movies that star pigs, and their was a lot. I am going to talk about the movies that I remember and love that star pigs. I will not be talking about movies that have a pet pig, like Yours Mine & Ours 2005 movie. Another thing is, since their is more than one Winnie the Pooh and Muppet movies I am only going to be saying them once instead of going through all the Winnie the Pooh and Muppets movies.
Most of these pig movies are in the 90's. Since Charlotte's Web has more than one remake, I am going to be saying the Dakota Fanning's version from 2006. The blog will be in 3 categories. Movies, TV Shows, and Multiple. Multiple means more than one movie and their is a TV Show. I will say what the movie is about and the release date, but not who played in the movies.
Movies:
Gordy - Gordy came out on May 12, 1995. For any of you Chameleons who never saw this movie before, here is what Gordy is about; A talking pig named Gordy becomes involved in a quest to save his family from a slaughter house. I saw this movie once. And it was my first time seeing a pig dressed up in pig size human clothes lol. I really wanna watch this movie again.
Babe - Babe came out on August. 4, 1995. I know most of you Chameleons seen this movie, but for the Chameleons who have not Babe is about; A gentle farmer, Arthur Hoggett wins a piglet, named Babe, at a country fair. Narrowly escaping his fate as Christmas dinner when Arthur decides to show him at the next fair, Babe bonds with Motherly border collie, Fly and discovers that he can heard sheep too. But will the other farm animals, including Fly's jealous husband, Rex accept a pig who doesn't conform to the farm's social hierarchy? This is the only pig movie that I don't like. The only reason why I don't like is cause before each scene starts the sheep sings
Babe: Pig In The City - Babe, everyone's favourite talking pig ended up having a sequel that came out on November 25, 1998. And went to the city. Here is what the sequel is about; Babe, fresh from his victory in the sheepherding contest, returns to Farm Hoggett's farm, but after Farmer Hoggett is injured and unable to work, Babe has to go to the big city to save the farm. To be clear here I only saw this movie once and I was 5 or 6 when I saw this movie in theatres with my moma. Yes- I loved pigs since then.
My Brother The Pig - My Brother the Pig was Scarlett Johansson, I think. Anyway, this movie came out on September 10, 1999. There is more to this story then just a brother turning into a piggy. Here is the whole story; When a spell turns an 8-year-old boy into a pig. His sister and his best friend race to fid a cure and turn him back into a human boy again. Out of all the movies that I have said from the 90's, I watched this one the most. Now, Scarlett Johansson is an A-List actress.
Charlotte's Web - Charlotte's Web had a bit of work done, and when I mean a bit of work, I mean a few movie remakes. But I am going to be talking about the only one I have seen, and that is the one that came out on December 7, 2006. Everyone should be fulmar with the story by now, cause this is a classic children's book. But if not; Wilbur. is scared of the end of the season, because he knows by that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with a spider, Charlotte who lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen. Out of all the movies I have listed I seen this a lot. I even went on a school trip to see the play in 2001.
You can see the list of a lot more pig movies right over here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_about_pigs
TV Shows:
Peppa Pig - Turns out this animated pig series for kindergarten kids was created in the UK and came out on May 31, 2004 and is still on today, with over 400 episodes. For anyone who have not watched this show, it's about; A little pig named, Peppa and her little brother, George have journey's everyday with their family and friends. I have seen this show, mostly cause I volunteered in a Kindergarten room a few times a week in 2015 and they always watched this show while eating their snacks.
Olivia - Olivia is another kindergarten kid show and was created in America-Irish-British show and came out in January of 2009 and ended in October in 2015. Olivia is about; A young pig who has a vivid imagination. I don't remember if I have ever seen this.
That is basically the only TV Shows that I have found.
Multiple:
Winnie the Pooh - Winnie the Pooh came out with a bunch of movies, short films, and a few TV Series over the years since 1977. So much, that I am not saying everything. The reason why Winnie the Pooh is on this list is because of Piglet. If you wanna see everything that Piglet is in, then read this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winnie_the_Pooh_(franchise).
The Muppets - The Muppets came out with a bunch of movie and TV Shows like Winnie the Pooh since the 1955. I feel like they had more movies. But I am not writing down every movie, shorts, specials, and TV Series they were in. I will say this, Miss Piggy is a diva. You can read everything The Muppets did over here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Muppets_productions. I keep thinking that they are apart of Sesame Street some how, cause I feel like they are.
Looney Tunes - Looney Tunes came out in 1960 as The Buggy's Bunny Show and the Looney Tunes have been around through all the years with movies and TV Series. Like The Muppets and Winnie the Pooh they also have a pig. This pig's name is, Porky Pig. Here is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Looney_Tunes cause I am not writing down everything.
As you can see, being a movie and TV star is not just for humans.
